I took my first flight when I was 3 years old, it was from Mauritius to London, England and I have been hooked since then! 55 countries later, I try to add at least one new country each year. I have traveled independently, joined small flexible and large escorted tours, done the all-inclusives and a few cruises. People always ask me where my favourite places are and it’s so hard because each is unique, but if I had to choose, I would say Jordan, New Zealand and of course Mauritius!
I cannot imagine a life without travel. For me, travel is like oxygen (a necessity not a luxury). I travel to experience various cultures, food, ways of life, different ways of thinking, to meet different people, to escape form my daily routine, to change perspectives and to see life in a different way. Once I come back from a trip, I start planning another trip. Planning is part of the fun of traveling.
That’s why I really enjoy my job as a Travel and Tourism Instructor helping students to be successful in their travel careers so that they too get a chance to experience the world out there and be able to cross off a lot of places off their bucket list.
