How does your CTC program prepare you for a career in the real world?

The Travel and Tourism Business Management Program offers different modules that prepared us for our future career in the real world! To gain more confidence, we are often asked to speak or present in front of the crowd during class, and instructors also challenged us to talk to our fellow schoolmates for us to leave our comfort zones. We get trained to become professionals inside the campus before we even step foot outside the four walls of CTC!

What do you enjoy most about studying at CTC?

CTC embraces different cultures profoundly! Starting from PowerPoint presentations to projects, we are always instructed to share something about our own culture or even research about others! It is a great tool for us to be knowledgeable not only about Canada but also about the countries outside our boundaries!

If you have some experience working in hospitality, tourism or as a flight attendant, what is your favourite thing about the industry?

My favorite thing about Tourism is that it is an industry where you get paid while just doing the things that you love to do! I am more than blessed to be able to work at the airport and meet lots of amazing people from different backgrounds with various languages! Working never gets boring as you always learn something new every day while enjoying it!

How does your CTC program prepare you for a career in the real world?

The Flight Attendant program prepared me to become confident, skilled, resilient and humble in the face of the real world. The instructor’s advice in the real world is inspiring, to become patient because there is no guarantee unless we are patient. All in all, we practiced the role of flight attendant with uniform, simulator, and relevant materials and information. It is worth taking.

What do you enjoy most about studying at CTC?

I enjoyed interacting with different people, went to cultural places and Boeing the field trip, and tried different foods. People are very understanding, fun to be with, and open-minded.

If you have some experience working in hospitality, tourism or as a flight attendant, what is your favourite thing about the industry?

My favourite thing about the industry is the chance to become kind to people. To me, serving for others, although minor conflicts are involved, make me more connected and matured.

How does your CTC program prepare you for a career in the real world?

I’m currently taking the Hospitality Program and for me this is a great way to learn the highlights of the industry. It gives me the knowledge that I would use in the real world.

What do you enjoy most about studying at CTC?

I enjoy learning things that are new to me and most importantly getting important information about the hospitality industry through our instructors. Special mention to Ms. Chantal Jones, with her wonderful experiences from the hotel industry I really learned a lot just by listening to her stories. It’s very inspirational for me who’s aspiring to be a hotelier one day.

If you have some experience working in hospitality, tourism or as a flight attendant, what is your favourite thing about the industry?

It’s being able to help other people with good service and a great way to meet different people from all over the world.

How does your CTC program prepare you for a career in the real world?

When I started my flight attendant program, they really start from the basics which was “get to know yourself” (strength and weakness). And they moved on to having the cover letter and resume, which none of the high schools go through in depth. You get your certificates needed for getting the job as a flight attendant. We learned about different types of aircraft as well and how each of them are different from one another. Safety is flight attendants’ priority. We learned that by heart. We also learned about how to service disabled passengers.

What do you enjoy most about studying at CTC?

Hands on training, safety procedures, emergency procedures.

If you have some experience working in hospitality, tourism or as a flight attendant, what is your favourite thing about the industry?

Serving customers with a smile and seeing smiles on their faces as well.

How does your CTC program prepare you for a career in the real world?

My program consists of hands on experience, and the materials I have studied during the time of my program has helped me gain so much knowledge and it’s amazing how the instructors I have been with have been so helpful and motivating. The school prepares all of its students, which includes practice interviews, resume preparation etc. It’s such an awesome way to learn and instead of staring at computer all day with 50+ students in the room, it’s much easier with CTC because they only have maximum 30 students in the class and it’s very helpful for students so we can ask questions more comfortably and the teachers are always accommodating.

What do you enjoy most about studying at CTC?

I enjoy meeting new people from all over the world, I’ve met so many friendly people because I was studying at CTC, I’ve also met my best friend at CTC and I am forever grateful!

If you have some experience working in hospitality, tourism or as a flight attendant, what is your favourite thing about the industry?

My favourite part of the industry would be how every day is different! You’re never repeating the same day over and over again and that’s the best part for me! You’ll never get tired of it, you learn something new almost everyday!
